The Ten x Ten 2015 Collection pairs a limited edition LP with a full-color publication. Designed by Craig Hansen, the publication features each print, statements by each artist/musician pair that illuminates their collaboration, and a foreword by Jordan Martins.
The Ten x Ten 2015 Collection is the manifestation of a year long collaboration involving ten unique partnerships between musicians and visual artists. Each of the 20 distinct contributors to Chicago’s artistic community investigated how artists across media utilize improvisation. The musicians, working within the genre of jazz and improvised music, each arranged and performed all new compositions in collaboration with a visual artists. Each visual artist, working in tandem with their musician counterpart, developed a new screenprinted artwork. The Ten x Ten 2015 Collection includes a limited edition LP and a full-color publication featuring each print, statements by each artist/musician pair that illuminates their collaboration, and a digital download link. This collection, now in its fourth edition, documents, celebrates, and promotes Chicago’s artistic community.

The Ten x Ten 2013 Collection investigates the relationship between color and sound.
Through exploring the underlying concepts of synesthesia, both
academically and intuitively, artists and composers have worked together
to produce artwork that takes the form of both a fine art print and an
original score. This project is presented by Access Contemporary Music,
Homeroom, and Spudnik Press.
