The Flag and Seal Revisited

In honor of Chicago’s upcoming 175th birthday, an additional component of the Pulled, Pressed & Printed exhibition, The Flag and Seal Revisited, will be unveiled in Expo 72 on Friday, March 2, 2012. This section of the exhibition highlights artworks that riff on Chicago’s flag and the city seal design. New works will be added to this section throughout the run. A brief history of Chicago’s flag and seal will be featured in the exhibit written by Tim Samuelsoncultural historian for the City of Chicago. 

The public is invited to a free reception in the exhibition on Friday, March 2 from 5:30 – 7:30 pm
